1. What GovDesk is — and what it is not

GovDesk is an organisational and informational tool. It helps you keep track of licences, visas, tax filings, insurance, leases and other administrative deadlines, and turns them into tasks and reminders.

GovDesk is not a government authority, is not affiliated with any UAE government entity, and does not provide legal, tax, immigration or other professional advice. Requirements, fees and deadlines can change. Always verify current requirements with the relevant UAE authority.

2. Your account and your team

You must give accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for everything done under your account and for the members you invite and the roles you give them.

You confirm you are authorised to act for the company you register, and that you are at least 18 years old.

3. Your data and documents

You keep ownership of everything you upload or enter. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to provide and improve the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you enter information about employees or other people, you confirm you have a lawful basis to do so and that you have told them as required by UAE data-protection law.

4. AI features

GovDesk uses artificial intelligence to read dates from documents and to answer questions. AI can make mistakes. Extracted dates only become deadlines after you confirm them, and assistant answers are labelled as Official source, Your information or General guidance.

You remain responsible for checking information before you rely on it.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use GovDesk for anything unlawful, upload material you have no right to share, try to access other companies' data, disrupt or probe the service's security, or copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

6. Fees

GovDesk is currently offered free of charge during its pilot. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and you can choose whether to continue.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep GovDesk available and secure but cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may update features; we will give notice of changes that significantly affect you.

8. Intellectual property and copyright

The GovDesk name, logo, software, design and content are owned by [Company legal name] and protected by UAE and international intellectual-property law. © 2026 [Company legal name]. All rights reserved. You may not use them without our written permission.

9. Responsibility and liability

To the extent permitted by UAE law, GovDesk is provided "as is". We are not responsible for fines, penalties, missed deadlines or decisions made by any authority, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or AED 500 if the service was free).

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.

10. Suspension and closing your account

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Before closing, you can export your documents and data; we delete them afterwards as described in the Privacy Policy, unless the law requires us to keep them.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in [Emirate, e.g. Dubai]. The courts of [Emirate, e.g. Dubai] have jurisdiction over any dispute.
